This is a great question and one that we get asked all the time. It is not uncommon for it to take students a semester, or a little over a semester, to complete their Academy work.
What should you do when it is online testing time, and your Academy students are not able to use the program in the lab?
Our motto is “never quit.” We strongly recommend that you find a way to keep your intervention programs up and running, even if that means scaling back on your implementation schedule.
How do I know if my students are on target to complete the program on time? If they are not on target, what can I do to help speed up progress?
This is a question that we often get asked, and it is a hard one to answer. It all depends on how severe your students’ reading/math delays are before they start Academy.
Academy of READING® and Academy of MATH® do not have formal progress monitoring tools built into the reporting system. However, you can use the Weekly Progress Report, found under the Reports tab, to monitor student Time on Task vs. Time in the Program each week.
